About the role
Position Overview The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular center, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include selecting appropriate exposure factors, algorithms, and scan fields based on patient age and diagnosis to produce precise cross-sectional images. They assist radiologists or physicians during complex invasive CT examinations, ensuring sterile techniques and high-quality imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostic CT scans according to established protocols
- Assisting with complex invasive procedures using sterile techniques
- Producing technically accurate images to aid diagnosis and treatment
- Collaborating with physicians and radiologists during procedures
Qualifications
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- ARTRT CT Advanced certification required within 12 months of employment
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
