About the role
Role: CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and ensuring patient safety at a healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures following department protocols, capturing diagnostic images with technical expertise.
- Operate imaging equipment independently, maintaining diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, reporting issues promptly.
- Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and screen for contraindications before exams.
- Explain procedures to patients using AIDET, addressing questions and reducing anxiety.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety, providing age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
- Administer contrast agents using sterile techniques, positioning patients accurately, and applying necessary safety measures.
- Review images for quality, repeat or adjust as needed, and properly release patients.
- Accurately document procedures and ensure images are correctly stored in RIS/PACS systems.
- Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support department operations, including maintaining supplies and equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- At least 1 year of radiology experience.
- Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (Basic Life Support).
