Summary

Under the general supervision of department management and the indirect supervision of a Registered Technologist in designated specialty (CT), performs limited radiographic procedures to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. Provides general clerical support for medical imaging department.

As an Imaging Tech Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in CT imaging while working side-by-side with our experienced technologists in a supportive learning environment. This role is designed for rad techs who are eager to expand their skills, grow professionally, and make a difference in the lives of our patients and community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform exams as determined by a physician under indirect supervision of a fully licensed Tech
  • Verify correctness and appropriateness of all orders, screen patients for contraindications, and obtain appropriate screening forms prior to exam.
  • Describe the basic principles and concepts of appropriate modality.
  • Incorporate scanning techniques learned to best demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Manipulate imaging parameters to optimize image quality.
  • Recognize exam artifacts and describe techniques to minimize their occurrence.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
  • Nevada Radiation Licensure
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for patient and patient’s family
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, patients and their families and co-workers.
  • Ability to work at any in or outpatient location according to a monthly schedule or as needed
