CT Computed Tomography Technologist

About This Role

This night-shift role involves performing computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury, following established protocols. The technologist will prepare and position patients, administer contrast media, and monitor patients during procedures, ensuring adherence to radiation safety guidelines. The position requires performing at least three specific procedures, such as biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations, or fiducial placement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity
• Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT-T Radiation Therapy - American Registry ofologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
• ARRT-CT Computed Tomography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Computed Tomography (CT) Credential - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) within 12 months of hire
