E-Commerce Conversion Optimization Specialist Hours: 3PM to 12AM
3–6 years of hands-on CRO experience on an e-commerce website, ideally US-facing
- Analyze the full conversion funnel in Google Analytics 4 — identify drop-off points by page type, device, traffic source, and product category
- Use heatmaps, session recordings, and scroll maps (Hotjar or equivalent) to understand how visitors actually interact with pages
- Run on-site surveys and exit-intent polls to capture qualitative reasons for abandonment
- Audit product pages, category pages, cart, and checkout flows for UX friction — unclear CTAs, slow load times, missing trust signals, and confusing navigation
- Benchmark site metrics (CVR, bounce rate, add-to-cart rate, checkout completion) against industry standards for US e-commerce
- Produce weekly conversion reports with clear findings and prioritized recommendations
- Build and run A/B and multivariate tests on product pages, category pages, cart, and checkout using Google Optimize, VWO, or equivalent
- Write clear test hypotheses, define success metrics, and calculate required sample sizes before each test launches
- Coordinate with the design and development teams to build test variants — provide detailed wireframes or annotated mockups
- Monitor live tests daily; flag statistical significance, segment results by device and traffic source
- Document all test results in a structured log — hypothesis, variant, result, and recommendation — win or lose
- Implement winning changes on the live site in coordination with the development team; track post-implementation impact
