CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) Manager

About This Role

Leading Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) and experimentation across a portfolio of client accounts is the core of this role. The CRO Manager will build trusted client relationships, identify high-value opportunities, shape evidence-led roadmaps, and coordinate specialists to deliver them. This is a hands-on, client-facing position requiring strong CRO expertise, excellent organization, commercial judgment, and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Act as the day-to-day CRO lead and trusted optimization partner for clients
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery teams
• Lead client sessions, roadmap discussions, and performance readouts
• Present findings clearly and constructively, including unsuccessful or inconclusive results
• Proactively manage decisions, dependencies, and risks to keep programs moving
• Use customer, behavioral, and commercial evidence to identify and prioritize opportunities
• Develop and continually evolve focused CRO and experimentation roadmaps
• Define clear hypotheses, metrics, and decision frameworks for experiments
• Use judgment to determine whether an opportunity calls for experimentation, further research, an immediate improvement, personalization, or a wider strategic initiative
• Balance customer impact, commercial value, effort, risk, and confidence when making recommendations
• Own progress across accounts, coordinating designers, developers, analysts, and other specialists
• Create clear briefs and ensure work is reviewed, approved, launched, and measured effectively
• Maintain priorities, actions, and dependencies and keep both clients and internal teams accountable
• Ensure experiments are properly designed, tracked, analyzed, and translated into clear decisions
• Use AI to accelerate research, analysis, evidence gathering, and reporting
• Apply own judgment to validate AI-assisted findings, identify gaps, and distinguish evidence from inference
• Turn analysis into commercially useful recommendations and action

Requirements

• Experience leading CRO, experimentation, or experience optimization programs
• Strong strategic and commercial judgment, with the ability to turn evidence into prioritized action
• Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple accounts or workstreams effectively
• Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills, including confidence challenging senior stakeholders
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across design, development, analytics, and QA
• Hands-on experience with a mainstream experimentation platform, ideally Optimizely Web Experimentation (OWE) or VWO
