Position Overview Provides anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for a variety of surgical procedures and diagnostic tests. Works independently and collaborates with a team of anesthesiologists, surgeons, and students in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role involves participating in clinical instruction, ensuring patient safety, and delivering evidence-based anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia in diverse settings and procedures
- Support and mentor nurse anesthesia students
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate empathy
- Respond effectively to emergency and critical situations
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Uphold high standards of ethical and professional conduct
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
- Alabama Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Self-motivated with strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing environments
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and responding to emergencies
- Demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and a customer-focused approach
