Criminal Justice Instructor

About This Role

The Criminal Justice Instructor is responsible for fostering student learning through high-quality classroom instruction, with a focus on continuous improvement of curriculum and instructional resources. The instructor will also be involved in institutional planning and developing goals for the academic department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and maintain a high level of competence and expertise in the teaching field or subject area
• Develop, implement, and teach courses to meet individual student needs and ensure an effective learning experience
• Evaluate and record student performance and achievement in a timely manner
• Provide prompt feedback to students and the administration to ensure learning outcomes are met
• Participate as a contributing faculty member of the College, including participating in planning long-range and short-term goals for the department and College
• Maintain regular office hours and participate in faculty meetings
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, required, or directed by the College
• Be present at work, as attendance is an essential job function

Requirements

• Meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at time of appointment
• Provide proof of Selective Service Registration (for male applicants between 18-26)
