Duties
- Prepare food items efficiently while adhering to food safety standards and sanitation guidelines
- Operate POS systems to process sales transactions accurately
- Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant or café environment
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity during transactions
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with food prep, stocking supplies, and ensuring quick service delivery
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards and ensure customer safety
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service restaurant environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during busy mornings
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a food industry setting
- Previous experience in cashiering, serving, or retail sales transactions is highly desirable
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
