Credit Manager

About This Role

The Credit Manager maintains proper credit procedures throughout the hotel, ensuring compliance with local and corporate policies. This role involves managing accounts receivable, supervising staff, and maintaining professional relationships across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection of accounts approved for billing and process upon departure payments
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Receivable staff and evaluate performance based on hotel policies
• Maintain harmonious and professional relationships with all departments
• Comply with and enforce Four Seasons Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact
• Supervise, train, and motivate Credit Department employees to thoroughly understand all of their duties and responsibilities
• Establish and maintain local credit policies and procedures regarding billing, credit cards, collection, inquiries, and cheque cashing
• Prepare month-end and year-end reports and reconciliations in accordance with established corporate guidelines

Requirements

• High School Education
• Minimum of two to four years of accounting experience
• Good people skills and ability to interact with all levels of employees and customers
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time
• Strong computer and math skills
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Proficient in the use of a personal computer and various software programs including MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
