Credit Manager

About This Role

Managing Working Capital and minimizing risk in the Business Units is the core of the Credit Manager role at AVI Finance Shared Services. This position involves overseeing a team and reporting directly to the Accounts Receivables Executive, ensuring compliance with credit policies and enhancing service delivery to business units.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a credit policy aligned with business and statutory requirements
• Provide and maintain a credit assessment process in conjunction with credit bureaus
• Implement and monitor levels of authority for terms, credit limits, legal debtors, and write-offs
• Expedite cash flow within customers' trading terms through a robust collection process
• Communicate potential bad debt to business units and institute recovery processes
• Establish and monitor internal controls to mitigate risk
• Continually analyze the effectiveness of transactional standards and take corrective steps
• Maintain a customer-focused environment and establish relationships with external customers
• Identify and evaluate new opportunities to improve credit assessments and reporting
• Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
• Develop reports that meet functional requirements and facilitate performance management

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Credit Management role combined with managerial experience
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in an FMCG environment
• A Degree/Diploma in Finance or equivalent is required

• Advanced SAP user
• Data Warehouse BI / Power BI / SQL solutions
• Excel Advanced skills
