The Qualifications We Seek
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 1 to 5 years of experience in debt collection, Accounts Receivable, or credit control
- Experience in aged debt management and debt recovery processes
- Experience within healthcare, workforce, or professional services environments is desirable

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications

Your Daily Tasks
Debt Collection & Account Management
- Monitor and actively manage outstanding debts across Doctors, Workforce, or Allied portfolios.
- Conduct proactive collection activities through phone, email, and written communication.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements.
- Negotiate and manage payment arrangements within delegated authority.
- Follow up on broken payment arrangements and take appropriate action.
- Escalate complex, high-value, or high-risk debts to the relevant manager.
- Initiate and support debt recovery actions, including referrals to external collection agencies when required.
Reconciliation & Issue Resolution
- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies related to outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues that affect debt recovery.
- Identify the root causes of recurring debt issues and escalate them for resolution.
- Record all transactions and adjustments accurately in financial systems.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across Doctors, Workforce, or Allied services to support debt resolution.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and representatives professionally and respectfully.
- Communicate clearly about outstanding balances, payment expectations, and account status.
- Balance effective debt recovery with positive stakeholder relationships.
Compliance, Audit & Risk
- Ensure all debt collection activities comply with organizational policies and relevant legislation.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive financial and personal information.
- Support audit processes with accurate documentation and records.
- Identify and escalate potential risks, bad debts, and disputes.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development and refinement of debt collection processes and procedures.
- Participate in initiatives to improve collection rates and reduce aged debt.
- Provide feedback on system enhancements and process improvements.
Complaint & Incident Management
- Follow organizational complaint and incident management escalation processes.
- Address concerns promptly when they may affect stakeholder relationships or financial outcomes.
Compliance
- Follow organizational WHS and OHS policies and procedures to maintain safe work practices.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and professional conduct standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive financial and personal information.
- Comply with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
