Credit Analyst / Junior Credit Analyst

About This Role

This role focuses heavily on executing core credit analysis, evaluating financial statements, and performing day-to-day risk assessments of counterparties across the APAC and MENA regions. It suits a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly driven analyst to join an expanding Credit Department. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive credit analysis and financial statement evaluations of trading counterparties to assess creditworthiness
• Compile, prepare, and maintain detailed credit, financial, and industry/sector reports
• Maintain the internal credit system, ensuring data integrity and strict compliance with corporate credit policies and procedures
• Support the daily monitoring of counterparties' credit status and escalate abnormal situations to the Credit & Commercial Risk Lead
• Assist with ad-hoc credit-related projects, including structured portfolio and sector reviews

Requirements

• Recognized Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 1–4 years of relevant experience
• Strong attention to detail with robust financial and cash flow analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and collaborate effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

• Exposure to corporate credit application processing or auditing
• Experience with Excel VBA
• An interest or experience in the oil, shipping, or bunker markets
