About This Role
This Credit Analyst position is an on-site role in Yorkville, IL, focusing on gathering and analyzing financial data to assess the creditworthiness of clients. The role requires strong quantitative and analytical skills to produce detailed credit write-ups and presentations for the Loan Committee, working closely with commercial lenders and other staff.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and spread financial statements for new and potential clients in the LoanVantage system
- Perform cash flow analysis, debt coverage calculations, risk modeling, collateral review, and other quantitative analysis to determine client's creditworthiness
- Perform background research on client, industry and market trends, and economic forecasting to incorporate into the credit presentation to support analysis
- Work closely with commercial lenders, commercial associates, and other credit administration staff to verify client and loan information
- Stay abreast of internal lending and credit policies
- Assist with internal and external audits and examinations, and client audits
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business
- Solid understanding of accounting, statistics, and economics
- Knowledge of commercial credit analysis, market trends and loan procedures
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong quantitative skills
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and time management capabilities
- Project management
- Ability to research financial topics and present reports on findings to a variety of audiences and decision-makers
- Adept at decision-making
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, forming positive working relationships with lenders, clients, internal colleagues, and senior management
