Credit Analyst

About This Role

The Manager Credit & Monitoring supports the implementation of credit strategy, manages credit risk assessment and forecasting, and analyzes financial data, project feasibility studies, and market trends to effectively mitigate credit risks. The role focuses on ensuring prudent lending practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough financial analysis of entities, including analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and key performance indicators

• Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure prudent lending practices and compliance with regulatory requirements

• Review agenda notes for loan sanction with respect to completeness, meeting regulatory guidelines, and policy requirements

• Assist in post-sanction work like issuance of sanction letters and amendments in terms and conditions (until initial disbursement) if applicable

• Assist in the credit approval process, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Provide support in continuous monitoring of standard accounts as well as Early Warning System (EWS) accounts to keep slippage at minimal

• Identify and monitor project performance metrics and financial data to gauge project profitability, identify areas of improvement, and make data-driven decisions

• Provide data pertaining to project performance and monitoring metrics to key stakeholders and address any concerns or inquiries

• Identify areas of risk/concern in the project and develop risk mitigation strategies in adherence to regulations

• Assist in managing aspects of project finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• Examine borrower

• Provide project-related input to the legal team while filing various petitions on PFS

• Provide information for compilation of various MIS (NPA, EWS, Fraud, Written off accounts, Security non-compliance, modification etc.) to Board / Board Committees / MD & CEO as applicable

• Assist in implementing strategies to mitigate credit risks and improve portfolio quality

• Prepare reports on credit portfolio performance and key metrics for presentation to the EVP Credit and ED Credit

• Ensure Know Your Customer (KYC) compliances

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements on appraisal aspects like KYC, group exposure, data protection, etc.

• Ensure statutory and regulatory compliances and compliance of policies & SOPs of PFS related to the respective functions being handled
