Job Type: Contract
Duration: Approximately 18 months, with potential for extension
Location: Remote — strong preference for West Coast time zone; candidates in other time zones must be able to work West Coast hours
Travel: Approximately 10%, including occasional on-site support during go-live command center activities
Pay Range: $60 - $65
Key Responsibilities

Perform hands-on Epic Beaker CP configuration and application build based on business and laboratory requirements.

Develop and configure test records, workflows, and related application components.

Lead requirements-gathering and workflow-alignment sessions with laboratory stakeholders.

Independently facilitate meetings, document requirements, identify gaps, and drive issues toward resolution.

Translate laboratory workflows and business requirements into effective Beaker CP configurations.

Design solutions with an enterprise-wide perspective rather than focusing solely on individual locations or markets.

Collaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, technical teams, project leadership, and executive stakeholders.

Present proposed workflows and application designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Participate in system testing, integrated testing, validation, and defect resolution.

Support implementation and go-live activities, including command center operations and occasional off-hours support.

Troubleshoot configuration and workflow issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.

Maintain documentation related to application configuration, requirements, workflows, and testing.

Manage assigned workstreams independently while collaborating closely with the broader project team.
Required Qualifications

Active Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) certification.

Demonstrated hands-on Epic Beaker CP implementation and application build experience .

Experience configuring Beaker CP rather than solely providing production support or end-user support.

Experience participating in multiple hospital system implementations strongly preferred.

Candidates with a single implementation may be considered if the experience was within a large, complex healthcare organization.

Strong understanding of clinical laboratory workflows and processes.

Proven ability to independently conduct requirements-gathering and stakeholder meetings.

Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Comfortable interacting with laboratory leadership, physicians, executives, and other senior stakeholders.

Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day oversight.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Willingness to support go-live activities and occasional off-hours coverage.
