We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodial professional to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Maintain and operate various cleaning equipment including vacuums, buffers, and industrial cleaning tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute routine facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and general upkeep to support overall building functionality.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to facility-related requests or concerns from staff or visitors.
Requirements
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely following established safety procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond effectively to facility needs.
- Prior experience with floor care equipment such as buffers and floor polishers is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks like painting or minor repairs is a plus.
