As a
Cost Estimator
within our
Global Delivery Management (GDM)
team, you will play a critical role in delivering data center projects across Digital Realty’s EMEA portfolio. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Sales Engineering, Design & Construction, Operations, Sales, and Finance—to ensure accurate cost planning and value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating efforts for data center projects across the EMEA region
• Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates and project budgets
• Build and continuously enhance a comprehensive cost database tailored to EMEA markets
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support value engineering and cost optimization

Your Profile

• Experience in construction cost estimating, general contracting, or electrical contracting (preferred)
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with MS Project, Word, and Access
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Fluency in both French and English

Responsibilities
The role will manage the daily operations of the global cost estimating function, ensuring that all pricing information provided is consistent, competitive, and aligned with company standards. They will collaborate closely with sales and engineering teams to deliver precise cost estimates that support business objectives and customer requirements. The role involves analysing market trends and internal data to propose improvements to pricing strategies and processes. Additionally, the role will be responsible for mentoring team members, managing deliverable goals, and adapting work assignments to meet evolving priorities. They will ensure that all solutions consider the broader impact on related units and processes, facilitating seamless implementation across the organization. The position requires proactive problem-solving and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field
• 4-7 Years of experience in cost estimating, pricing, or delivery management
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience with industry-standard practices and tools
• Proven ability to manage teams and deliver results
