Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a CSA Estimator to support large-scale data center construction projects across civil, structural, and architectural scopes. This individual will be responsible for developing detailed conceptual and definitive estimates, validating contractor pricing, analyzing bid packages, and providing cost guidance throughout the preconstruction and construction lifecycle. On a daily basis, they will review drawings and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate subcontractor proposals, prepare cost models, and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring estimates align with project scope, schedule, and market conditions. The CSA Estimator will work closely with project managers, design teams, procurement, contractors, and project controls teams to provide accurate budgeting and forecasting support for highly complex mission-critical facilities. The ideal candidate has extensive experience estimating CSA scopes for data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, semiconductor plants, or other large industrial construction projects and is comfortable working in fast-paced environments with aggressive schedules and multiple concurrent projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of estimating experience supporting data center or mission-critical construction projects
- Strong experience estimating CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) scopes including sitework, foundations, concrete, structural steel, building envelope, and architectural finishes
- Experience developing conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates from design drawings and specifications
- Strong ability to perform quantity takeoffs, cost modeling, budget development, and RFP/bid package pricing analysis
- Experience preparing and responding to RFPs, bid proposals, and competitive estimates during preconstruction efforts
- Knowledge of data center construction means, methods, sequencing, and cost drivers
- Proficiency with Procore
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for budgeting, cost analysis, and estimate development
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Data center or semiconductor construction experience
- Experience with owner-side project controls or cost engineering
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or similar project controls tools
