Position: Cost Accounting Manager
Location: Benghazi (Libya)
A leading, reputable multinational holding company based in Benghazi , operating across construction, industrial services, and large‑scale projects.
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accounting Manager to oversee cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis functions across our operations. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in construction, contracting, or industrial manufacturing , with the ability to drive cost efficiency and support strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all cost accounting activities across projects, sites, and operational units.
- Develop and maintain standard costing, cost models, and cost allocation frameworks for construction and industrial operations.
- Monitor and analyze project costs, labor utilization, equipment costs, overhead absorption, and inventory valuation.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports, dashboards, and profitability analyses.
- Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate cost data and financial modeling.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to ensure accurate cost tracking and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Review and enhance cost accounting systems, internal controls, and reporting accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards, internal policies, and audit requirements.
- Provide management with recommendations to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance , or related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in construction, contracting, or industrial manufacturing .
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, project costing, inventory accounting , and cost control methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar).
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Good command of English .
