Caring for customers' nails through high-quality manicure and pedicure services is the core of this job, ensuring their needs and preferences are met. The role suits a detail-oriented team player with an active NC License and excellent customer service skills, who will help boost the company's reputation by offering personalized services.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality manicure and pedicure services in a timely professional manner
- Provide nail care services to clients, including manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements
- Perform nail art and design according to client preferences
- Apply and remove gel polish
- Clean, cut and shape nails appropriately
- Accurate and precise painting on the fingernails and toenails
- Give hand and foot massages
- Ensure that high standards in regards to hygiene and sanitation are maintained in accordance to regulatory requirements
- Engage with guest to provide exceptional customer service and establish a loyal customer base
- Maintain professional image and hygiene
- Recommend colors and designs based on each client’s style
- Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments
- Sterilize equipment before use
- Inform clients about additional services and offerings (e.g. loyalty discounts, eyebrow waxing, etc)
- Up-sell treatments and beauty products, when appropriate
- Educate clients on proper nail care and maintenance including nail care treatment tips (e.g. how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer)
- Take interest in each individual client (e.g. chatting with them during appointments and remembering their preferences)
- Keep up-to-date with the latest nail trends and techniques
- Demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times
Requirements
- Valid North Carolina Nail Technician license/certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Nail Technician, Manicurist or similar role
- Proficient in color theory and nail art design
- Expertise in basic and advanced nail techniques, including french manicures and gel manicures
- Knowledge of cosmetology trends
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Detail oriented
- Understanding of sanitation and sterilization standards
- Experience in customer service
- Strong retail sales skills with the ability to upsell products and services
- Proficiency in basic computer functions and keyboarding is required
- Ability to learn new software quickly and operate standard office equipment is required
