Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling, coloring, hair extensions, and hair care treatments tailored to each client’s needs
- Perform precise hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care services with attention to detail and sanitation standards
- Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Educate clients on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail options to enhance their experience and increase upselling opportunities
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment by adhering to all sanitation protocols and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and deliver personalized service that exceeds expectations
- Assist with front desk duties including appointment bookings, client check-in/out, and managing the overall flow of the salon
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hairstyling, barbering (including straight razor use), and retail sales strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a cosmetologist or barber with a strong portfolio of hair styling, coloring, and grooming services
- Knowledge of salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client management
- Demonstrated expertise in hair care techniques including coloring theory, hair extensions application, and advanced styling methods
- Familiarity with sanitation practices specific to cosmetology and barbering environments to ensure client safety
- Strong communication skills for effective client consultation and retail upselling
- Experience working with diverse beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and threading
- Ability to mentor team members while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism
