About This Role

Caring for guests by providing high-quality hair and nail services is the core of this Cosmetologist role at the Hawanawana Spa. The position delivers a luxurious, personalized experience, leaving guests feeling refreshed, confident, and well cared for, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
• Provide professional hair and nail services, including blowouts, haircuts, color services, updos, bridal and special-event styling, manicures, and pedicures, in accordance with accepted industry practices and established protocols
• Perform all treatments with skill, proficiency, and a warm, pleasant demeanor while starting appointments on time and completing services within scheduled timeframes
• Deliver personalized, gracious, and professional service that is attentive and responsive to each guest’s individual preferences and needs
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness by properly cleaning and sanitizing all salon areas in compliance with state board regulations and property guidelines
• Educate guests on proper hair and nail care, recommend appropriate products, and promote retail offerings while following product usage and inventory control standards
• Uphold a clean, organized, and welcoming spa environment and actively promote all services, products, and programs of Four Seasons Resort Lāna‘i

Requirements

• Legal work authorization in United States
• Availability for holidays and weekends
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Hawaii State Cosmetology License (CPR Certification as required for licensing)
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
• Prior experience working as a hairstylist and nail technician in the hospitality industry or in a high-end salon environment
