Corporate Counsel

About This Role

This Corporate Counsel position is with a national law firm, joining its Corporate practice group. The role involves representing public and privately owned companies in various business matters, including commercial contract issues, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance counsel. It suits a candidate with a strong business background and the ability to quickly grasp business concepts.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate principal and ancillary agreements related to supply, purchase, service, transportation, and other commercial transactions
• Engage in a wide variety of corporate and commercial projects
• Provide pragmatic counsel with extensive client contact

Requirements

• Law Degree
• Eligibility for North Carolina Bar admission is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a corporate in-house environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to ask questions and learn
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
