Corporate Counsel

About This Role

Serving as Corporate Counsel, you will provide legal advice and guidance, protect against legal risks, and act as a key business partner to various company functions. This management-level position involves working with legal staff, executive management, and business departments, handling sensitive and confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide general legal advice and guidance to various business departments
• In close coordination with the business, develop, draft, and negotiate contracts including nondisclosure, consulting, master service, and real property agreements
• Develop and refine contract management workflows
• Support Company business development activities
• Assist with Company financing initiatives
• Support corporate secretary, risk management, and information governance functions
• Draft correspondence related to internal controls and coordinate with the Company
• Coordinate on litigation matters and business disputes, and the Company
• Manage discovery and information request responses
• Company policy development, maintenance, and training

• J.D. degree
• At least five years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel
• Must be a current member of the State Bar of California in good standing
