About This Role
Caring for complex financial services and digital asset projects is at the heart of this legal role, with a focus on capital markets, traded products, and prime brokerage. This position is for a lawyer who is ready to lead innovation efforts and play a vital role in transforming the financial industry.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements supporting the company’s products, partnerships, and activities across multiple business lines
- Collaborate with business and product teams to aid the development and introduction of new products and services
- Provide practical and commercially focused recommendations concerning financial services regulation within the UK, EU, and other international regions, including licensing and regulatory engagement
- Assist with corporate governance matters and other general legal issues as they arise
- Deliver outstanding legal assistance across key capital markets functions, encompassing prime brokerage, execution platforms, and traded products
- Provide legal support for various financial services and digital asset activities, including cross-border payments, stablecoin issuance, and custodial solutions
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
- 5 - 8 years' PQE with a background in capital markets, traded products, and/or prime brokerage
- Knowledge of financial services, traded products, and capital markets is essential
- A solid grasp of UK and EU financial services regulation is required
- Experience gained either in-house at a financial institution or within a top-tier private practice
- Ability to present sophisticated issues clearly and concisely and provide succinct and practical legal advice
