The Qualifications We Seek

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting, shared services, external audit, or a similar finance role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification, preferred or currently being pursued
  • Practical experience with month-end close, journal preparation, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience with audit schedule preparation and statutory or external audit support
  • Experience with IFRS 16 lease accounting, including lease schedule maintenance and related journal preparation, preferred
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles, with exposure to IFRS or financial reporting within an international organization preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with large datasets and reconciliation preparation
  • Experience with NetSuite or another large ERP system, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work within reporting deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve accounting issues
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and escalate matters when required
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different countries, cultures, and time zones

What the Role Offers

Your Daily Tasks

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal preparation and posting.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and clear reconciling items within required timelines.
  • Review general ledger accounts and analyze unusual or unexpected account movements.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and working papers for management reporting, group reporting, and statutory financial statements.
  • Support external audits by prepare audit schedules, retrieve supporting documentation, and respond to audit requests.
  • Prepare and maintain the annual audit schedule and track deliverables, deadlines, and owners to ensure timely submission of required schedules and documentation.
  • Support intercompany accounting, including reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions.
  • Support fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, payroll, and other month-end accounting processes.
  • Maintain IFRS 16 lease accounting records, including lease schedules, right-of-use asset and lease liability calculations, related journals, and disclosures.
  • Prepare and review financial information across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
  • Support the Corporate Accounting team with ad hoc accounting analysis, data requests, and finance projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reconciliations, documentation, and internal controls.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and complete accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance and other business teams across international locations.
