Duties
As a Program Services Specialist, you will be assigned independent assignments that require the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques and guidelines of personnel management. Typical Duties include:
- Reviewing staffing actions and provides advice on difficult issues as they pertain to the workforce.
- Establishing and maintains cooperative working relationships with managers and the Office of Human Resources.
- Performing thorough analysis of operating procedures and mission requirements to accurately identify problems that are associated with the permanent and CORE workforces.
- Preparing Request of Personnel Actions (SF-52), prepares monthly personnel reports and serves as the Workers’ Compensation Claims Coordinator.
- Developing and complies data concerning overtime and leave usage, and provides information to management officials.
- Assisting with training of management staff and cadre managers to insure disaster deployments are accomplished in an orderly and expeditious manner and in compliance with policies and regulations.
