About This Role
This cook position is responsible for preparing food items served in the restaurant, ensuring proper sanitation, portion control, and quality standards. The role is critical to Buffalo Wild Wings, impacting the restaurant by inspiring legendary experiences between friends, supporting team members, and creating great food items.
Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and operate the station using prep sheets and station charts
- Adhere to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and department rules and procedures
- Maintain quality and freshness of all food items
- Prepare food items that meet or exceed guest expectations
- Prep and prepare menu items at correct temperature within specified timeframes
- Maintain Quality Assurance of all food products
- Package carryout orders accordingly
- Keep station neat and clean by using the clean as you go method
- Sweep, wet mop, and/or brush floors, as needed or directed by manager
- Exhibit a sense of urgency responding to orders and guest requests
- Unload trucks, pallets, and cases of food and beverage and put in assigned locations
- Promote excellence, cooperation, and teamwork within the company
- Support and assist team members
- Identify additional tasks to be completed and willingly assist others
- Follow direction with focused attention
Requirements
- Guest service mentality; has a genuine desire to serve the customer
- Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location
- Able to read and follow written instructions
- Self-starter who is energetic and flexible
- Prioritize responsibilities and achieve results through multitasking
- Form strong working relationships within team
- Minimum of 1 year in a food preparation position within the restaurant business preferred
- Able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length
- Able to lift items up to 25 pounds
