Controller

About This Role

As a Controller within the Department for Children and Families, you will support the management in leading and steering the operations. You will develop the department's processes for management and governance, ensuring that the department head and management have access to the necessary support to lead effectively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret production flows, operational results, and financial outcomes within your area of responsibility.
• Provide central support for production and resource management, contributing to efficient resource utilization by establishing production plans or flow analyses.
• Participate in relevant forums and networks both within the department and across the agency.
• Prepare materials for follow-up and contribute to local development work in your area, acting as a close support to operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and qualifications.
• Experience as a controller at a strategic level.
• Ability to act on your initiative and take responsibility for achieving good results.
• Strong analytical skills to understand and analyze complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effective collaboration with others to achieve common goals.
• Systematic and meticulous working style.

Nice to have:

• Several years of experience working as a controller, preferably within a larger authority.
• Proactive and experienced in change management.
• Good pedagogical skills.
• Experience with analysis and reporting tools.
• Experience in driving development work.
