About This Role

This Controller role is a unique opportunity for a financially strong generalist who thrives on bringing structure, professionalizing processes, and making an impact within an entrepreneurial SME organization. You will be the right hand of the Finance Manager, combining operational finance with process improvement and strategic input, and will play a key role in the organization's transition.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, and management information
• Monitor budgets, margins, costs, and financial performance
• Actively contribute to the merger of multiple private limited companies into one organization
• Participate in ERP migrations and the setup of new administrations
• Identify financial risks and improvement opportunities and translate them into concrete actions
• Collaborate with data and IT to further optimize management information and reports
• Support forecasts, budgets, and business analyses
• Optimize internal controls and financial processes
• Maintain contact with accountants, banks, and tax advisors
• Support audits and tax declarations
• Actively contribute ideas on inventory management, cost prices, customer bonuses, and financial management information

Requirements

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, preferably in Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
• You are assertive and comfortable in a changing organization
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Exact
• Good knowledge of Excel and financial reporting
• Excellent command of the Dutch language and good command of English
• You are analytical, accurate, independent, and proactive

In the coming years, the organization faces an important transition, merging multiple operating companies into one central organization and undertaking a large-scale ERP and data migration to standardize and professionalize processes.
