Control Room Operator

About This Role

Monitoring plant equipment and responding to alarms is the core of this Control Room Operator role, which also involves maintaining accurate logs and communicating with field teams. The position suits a safety-focused individual who is comfortable using computers, following strict procedures, and maintaining focus throughout a 12-hour rotating shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant equipment, alarms, pressures, temperatures, and operating conditions using computerized control systems
• Safely start, stop, and adjust equipment while coordinating with the Main/field team
• Respond quickly to alarms, equipment issues, and changing conditions
• Maintain accurate shift logs, equipment readings, and operating records
• Communicate clearly with operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams
• Follow the strict no-cell-phone policy except during breaks and lunch

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn control/monitoring systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must complete an 8-hour training schedule before transitioning to a 12-hour rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
