Control Room Operator

About This Role

Working in a security control room, the Control Room Operator serves as the main point of contact outside of normal working hours, directing mobile supervisory teams and ensuring smooth information handover. This self-contained role suits a candidate with strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for the company outside of normal working hours (evenings and weekends)
• Direct movements of the Mobile Supervisory team
• Ensure key information is handed over to the day team

Requirements

• Clean DBS certificate
• SIA DS or SG Licence
• Excellent IT and administrative skills
• Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
• Full UK Driving Licence with 0 or low points
• Security experience: 1 year (required)
• SIA Licence (required)
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (required)

Nice to have:

• SIA CCTV Licence
• Supervisory/Team Leading experience

Important Details

• Schedule: 42 hours per week average on rotation pattern; must be flexible and able to cover holidays and shortfalls where required in conjunction with the working time directive
• Contract: permanent
• Relocation: reliably commute to Middlesbrough TS1 1RE or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
