Contract Specialist

About This Role

The Contract Specialist at Region VII Area Agency on Aging/Sunrise PACE plays a crucial role in securing and maintaining contractual agreements with vendors for various services and supplies. This position is ideal for someone who is motivated to make a positive impact in the lives of others while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Secure and maintain contractual agreements with vendors for services and supplies
• Engage vendors in the negotiation of contract terms
• Monitor vendor performance through periodic evaluations and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Assess industry trends related to service and supply costs to ensure fair pricing

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or public administration preferred
• Minimum 2 years of contract drafting and negotiation experience preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid covered services and Managed Care contracting preferred
• Strong work ethic and ownership of assigned projects to ensure timely completion
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and demonstrated customer service skills
