About This Role
This in-office position is for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Construction Contracts Specialist to join the team immediately. The role involves managing contract documentation, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors, meeting deadlines, and ensuring all required paperwork is accurate and complete.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, track, and maintain construction contracts and related documentation
- Manage project billing, invoicing, and payment documentation
- Prepare, collect, review, and track lien waivers and releases from subcontractors
- Monitor insurance certificates, endorsements, and other required compliance documents
- Verify that subcontractors meet contractual insurance and documentation requirements before work begins and throughout the project
- Maintain organized contract files and ensure documents are properly executed and up to date
- Coordinate with project managers, accounting personnel, subcontractors, and clients to resolve document issues
- Track contract deadlines, billing requirements, insurance expirations, and outstanding paperwork
- Assist with contract compliance, change orders, and other administrative duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction contract administration or a similar role is preferred
- Working knowledge of construction billing procedures and payment applications
- Experience handling lien waivers, releases, and contract documentation
- Familiarity with certificates of insurance, additional insured requirements, and insurance compliance
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, DocuSign, and Bluebeam
- Proficiency of Procore, GC Pay, and Textura
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Nice to have:
- Experience working for a general contractor or commercial construction company with familiarity with subcontract agreements, conditional and unconditional lien waivers, and construction payment procedures
