About This Role
This senior contract manager role involves supporting project teams in the management, monitoring, and optimization of contractual aspects throughout the execution cycle of a strategic industrial project with a strong technical dimension. The successful candidate will play an essential role in controlling contractual risks, managing claims, negotiating with suppliers, and securing the project's interests.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the monitoring of contract execution and compliance with contractual commitments
- Identify, analyze, and anticipate contractual and commercial risks
- Advise project teams on the interpretation and application of contractual clauses
- Participate in the continuous improvement of Contract Management processes and best practices
- Manage claims, amendments, contractual modifications, and potential disputes
- Prepare, draft, and coordinate contractual correspondence with suppliers and partners
- Develop negotiation strategies and participate in dispute resolution discussions
- Ensure traceability and monitoring of contractual events likely to impact the project
- Collaborate closely with Project, Purchasing, Legal, and Management teams
- Participate in monitoring suppliers' contractual performance
- Contribute to contract review meetings and commercial negotiations
- Provide operational support on contractual issues encountered during the execution phase
- Produce performance indicators and contractual dashboards
- Ensure reporting of contractual risks, opportunities, and vigilance points
- Participate in feedback and the evolution of contractual models
- Guarantee the archiving and document management of contractual files
Requirements
- Higher education in law, business, purchasing, engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience
- At least 3 years of confirmed experience in Contract Management
- Solid experience in managing claims, disputes, and contractual negotiations
- Good knowledge of contract law and contractual risk management mechanisms
- Experience acquired in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, engineering, industry, or construction
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficiency in contractual drafting in French and English
- Good command of office tools (Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Experience in purchasing or commercial management is an additional asset
- Fluent French and English required
