Contract Manager

About This Role

This role is for an experienced Contract Manager to join a growing team within an established main contractor. The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple construction projects, overseeing site teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of multiple construction projects across Surrey
• Manage and support Site Managers and project teams to ensure programmes are maintained
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and overall commercial performance
• Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations and company procedures
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and client relationships
• Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates on programme, costs, and project performance
• Identify and resolve project issues, ensuring works are delivered to the required standards
• Drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all projects

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Contract Manager or in a similar senior construction management role for a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of construction project delivery, programming, and commercial management
• Experience managing multiple projects and leading site-based teams
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• A strong understanding of health and safety, quality control, and construction regulations
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
