Continuous Improvement Manager

About This Role

This role is for a Continuous Improvement Manager based at the Warrenpoint site, reporting to the Plant Manager. The core purpose is to develop, improve, and drive cultural change within the business by supporting and guiding the use of Saica ECO programmes and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate organisational wide efforts to ensure that business improvement programmes are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities on improvement without compromising on safety or service
• Develop and communicate the strategic vision, scope, and mission of the business improvement program and ensure business improvement initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational effectiveness or quality control efficiencies and effectiveness
• Co-ordinate and provide support for the application of work methods (definition, implementation and carrying out of audits)
• Co-ordinate the development of the continuous improvement processes within production
• Implement, encourage and sustain the group management system in the production area (TQM and Lean)
• Co-ordinate the development of existing and new continuous improvement plans
• Use continuous improvement tools to solve process issues and imbalances (capacities, flows, etc.)
• Train employees in all aspects related to continuous improvement
• Participate in Group meetings in relation to continuous improvement
• Define and maintain status indicators for continuous improvement projects in the plant
• Identify training needs of the staff and coordinate the implementation of the training using the defined methodology
• Solve problems
• Complete standard UKI Reports

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of comparable experience
• Experience of delivering business improvement programmes e.g. lean, six sigma

Nice to have:

• 3rd level qualification - Business or Engineering Degree
• Experience of working in a production environment
