Content Strategist (Program Lead)

About This Role

This role involves shaping the structure, flow, and quality of movement programs for Simple Move, an app focused on helping people incorporate more movement into their daily lives. It suits a Content Strategist who can translate user needs, product goals, expert input, and performance insights into engaging guided experiences, helping users stay motivated and build lasting habits.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the LTV product manager on the renewal cycle, understanding hypotheses and building solutions for conversion rate, retention, or renewal
• Own quality by deciding principles, concepts, and exercise sets for programs that impact conversion rate, retention, and renewal
• Own delivery by ensuring programs and experiments are built and loaded by the required date without losing logical integrity
• Translate hypotheses into ready-to-test workout experiments, selecting exercises, defining order, duration, and progression
• Generate supporting assets with AI tools where needed, and assemble and upload the final version of programs in the CMS
• Build new programs and improve existing ones by adapting successful competitor programs, YouTube performance, and seasonal trends
• Bring hypotheses and draft programs to medical/fitness experts for review
• Track program performance against conversion rate, retention, and renewal targets set by the LTV product manager
• Work with the Product Content Lead on briefs and priorities for new programs and topics
• Make programs engaging and natural without feeling like a textbook

Requirements

• Treat activation, retention, and LTV as one funnel with renewal as the outcome
• Partner with the LTV product manager and Product Content Lead on strategy, then own the building of programs
• Experience building or improving structured programs, curricula, or content journeys in a digital consumer product (fitness, wellness, habit formation, or education), with work tied to product metrics
• Set KPIs, read engagement and retention numbers, and translate them into concrete content and structure decisions
• Pay close attention to the details of program assembly: exercise selection, order, duration, format, variety
• Work fast and autonomously, bringing drafts and hypotheses instead of waiting for a full spec, and iterating on feedback
• Partner with a medical/fitness expert for safety verification
• Use AI tools to structure, generate, and scale program content
• Operate well in a lean, fast-moving team where roles overlap and ownership shifts as the company grows
• Understand that programs multiply across topics and difficulty levels, and manual build work grows accordingly
• Bonus: background in training, coaching, or medical/fitness (product and engagement thinking matters more than domain credentials)
