Content Strategist

About This Role

Creating and implementing a comprehensive content strategy across various digital channels is the core of this role, supporting brand awareness, audience growth, and lead generation. The Content Strategist will manage the entire content production process, from ideation to optimization, and collaborate with internal teams to transform company stories and events into valuable content.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy across social media, the company website, blog, email, and other digital channels
• Build content strategies that support brand awareness, audience growth, website traffic, lead generation, and overall business objectives
• Establish a clear content calendar and manage the entire production process, from ideation and creation to editing, publishing, and optimization
• Identify new content opportunities based on audience interests, trends, search behavior, company priorities, and business goals
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to identify stories, updates, events, and opportunities that can be transformed into valuable content
• Create and manage content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms
• Develop original Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, short-form videos, captions, visuals, and other social media content
• Produce content that highlights the brand, properties, employees, office culture, residents, communities, events, and company stories
• Support or lead corporate, office, community, and industry events, transforming them into engaging social media content
• Identify everyday moments and experiences that can become authentic and impactful stories
• Stay up to date with trends, emerging formats, platform updates, and new content opportunities
• Tailor content to each platform rather than simply reposting the same material across all channels
• Develop compelling stories that make the company feel more human, approachable, and memorable
• Discover interesting stories within the company, properties, communities, employees, and customers
• Transform complex information into simple, engaging, and easy-to-understand content
• Create attention-grabbing hooks, headlines, captions, scripts, and storytelling concepts
• Balance creativity with the brand's voice, company values, and business objectives
• Develop and manage content for the company website and blog
• Write and optimize website pages, blog posts, landing pages, FAQs, property-related content, career pages, and other digital content
• Identify content opportunities that can increase website traffic and support lead generation
• Regularly review existing website content and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with web developers, designers, and external agencies to ensure content is properly integrated and optimized
• Develop and implement content strategies to improve organic search visibility, website traffic, and qualified lead generation
• Apply hands-on experience in website SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
• Optimize website content using WordPress or other content management systems (CMS)
• Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal links, image alt text, content structure, and other on-page SEO elements
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of keyword research, search intent, content structure, and topic clusters
• Identify questions and topics that potential customers are searching for and transform them into useful content
• Understand GEO and how to structure content so it can be discovered, understood, and cited by AI-powered search and answer engines
• Continuously optimize existing content based on search performance and evolving search behavior
• Monitor SEO and GEO performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with developers or external agencies when technical SEO improvements are required
• Develop and execute a social media growth strategy to increase audience reach, engagement, brand awareness, website traffic, and lead generation
• Establish monthly and quarterly growth objectives for content and social media
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including reach, engagement, follower growth, website traffic, leads, and conversions
• Test different creative concepts, formats, hooks, messaging, posting times, and content strategies
• Use analytics and performance data to understand what works and why
• Turn successful content ideas into repeatable strategies
• Focus on measurable business results, not just likes and followers
• Use AI tools such as ChatGPT and AI-powered image and video generators to brainstorm ideas, conduct research, develop concepts, write scripts, create storyboards, and streamline content production
• Explore new AI tools and technologies that can improve the quality and efficiency of content creation
• Use AI strategically while maintaining authenticity, accuracy, creativity, and brand consistency
• Experiment with AI-powered content research and optimization techniques

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken
• Experience in content strategy, social media, digital marketing, content marketing, or a similar role
• A genuine passion for social media, content creation, storytelling, and digital marketing
• Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills
• Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other social media platforms
• Experience creating content for social media and websites
• Hands-on experience with SEO and GEO optimization
• Experience managing website content using WordPress or another content management system (CMS)
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, keyword research, search intent, and on-page optimization
• Understanding of how AI-powered search is changing the way people discover information
• Experience with tools such as ChatGPT, Canva, CapCut, and other AI-powered and content creation tools
• Experience with analytics and SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner, or similar platforms
• Strong creative instincts and a keen eye for attention-grabbing content
• Ability to transform simple ideas, events, and everyday experiences into compelling stories
• An analytical mindset and the ability to connect content performance to business objectives
• Strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently
• Comfortable working on-site at properties and events to capture photos, videos, and real-life experiences for content creation
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, trends, and AI tools

Nice to have:

• Experience in real estate, property management, residential rentals, or a related industry
• Experience with Meta advertising (Facebook and Instagram)
