About This Role
Content Managers at Weidert Group transform technical subject matter into content that industrial buyers can find, understand, and act on. You will interview engineers and executives, write across various formats, and determine how expertise becomes a pillar page, a LinkedIn post, a video script, an ad set, and an answer on AI assistant sites.
Responsibilities
- Write for a range of media types, including websites, blogs, advanced content, email, social, video scripts, PR, and paid ads, where tone, length, purpose, and technical depth vary significantly
- Interview client subject matter experts and turn those conversations into original content, asking questions that surface specifics a competitor cannot copy
- Translate technical subject matter into language a specific reader can use, without sacrificing the accuracy an engineer would check
- Apply SEO and AEO principles, structuring content with the headings, schema, and question framing that serve search engines, AI assistants, and human readers
- Manage assigned content across LinkedIn, YouTube, email, client blogs, landing pages, and paid channels, and develop video concepts and scripts with creative teammates
- Build, document, and maintain the AI projects, skills, and prompt systems that make content production repeatable, and apply editorial judgment to every output before it publishes
- Work alongside strategists on positioning and messaging, run documented content experiments, and report what to keep, kill, or scale
Requirements
- A BA/BS in marketing, journalism, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years writing professionally, including technical or B2B subject matter
- A portfolio across multiple formats, with at least one piece you can show performed
- Experience interviewing subject matter experts and publishing what comes out of it
- AI systems you built yourself: projects, skills, or prompt workflows used in production
- Working knowledge of SEO and AEO research, content structure, and performance measurement
- Proficiency in HubSpot CMS or similar, plus LinkedIn publishing and YouTube
- A writer who thinks like a marketer, starting from what the audience needs to believe, not from a word count
- Confident thinker who writes very well and can defend a choice
- Technical curiosity, and the follow-up question that produces real insight
- An experimenter who measures and changes course on evidence
- Direct, raises problems early, and takes feedback without friction
- Self-directed, and does not wait to be managed
