About This Role

This role involves providing expert leadership for Healthcare Public Health, working collaboratively with partners in the health and care system to maximize population health benefits. This includes translating evidence to inform service design and planning, considering equity of access, identifying effective preventative interventions, and supporting screening and immunization functions. It is an ideal opportunity for candidates with strong strategic leadership skills to embed preventative approaches, reduce health inequalities, and promote sustainable healthcare.

Requirements

• Full GMC Registration
• License to practice
• Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
• Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview (for those trained in the UK)
• Equivalent training (for non-UK applicants)
• Included in the GMC Full and Specialist Register with a license to practice/GDC Specialist List or included in the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists at the point of application
• Verifiable signed documentary evidence of being within 6 months of gaining entry to a register at the date of interview (for public health specialty registrar applicants not yet on a specialist register)

• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Contract: permanent
