Consultant - Community Outreach

About This Role

This onsite position at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, involves developing and managing community outreach strategies and events that align with IU Health's priorities. The role coordinates internal and external community initiatives, identifies best practices, and implements programs in collaboration with hospital partners and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the execution of community outreach strategies, initiatives, and events
• Coordinate and collaborate on internal and external community initiatives and team member volunteer programs
• Identify best practices and implement programs in coordination with hospital partners and community organizations
• Report on programmatic impact
• Train team members on system measures and metrics, processes, and reporting
• Develop strategy and business processes
• Manage multiple initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required
• 5-7 years of experience
• Ability to work in a complex business environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience designing and facilitating training adults and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with underserved and/or high-risk populations at a macro level

Nice to have:

• Experience in managing program/event logistics
