About This Role
This role involves overseeing daily construction site activities, coordinating workers and subcontractors, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site operations and allocate work to construction workers
- Coordinate with the Construction Manager, engineers, and subcontractors on work schedules and site requirements
- Read and interpret construction drawings and explain work requirements to the site team
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction follows approved drawings and specifications
- Track daily progress, identify delays, and report issues to the Construction Manager
- Arrange manpower, materials, tools, and equipment for scheduled work
- Conduct daily briefings and reinforce site safety procedures
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure workers use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Identify unsafe conditions and escalate incidents or hazards promptly
- Maintain daily records of manpower attendance, work progress, and material usage
- Coordinate inspections, rectify defects, and support project handover
Requirements
- Relevant construction qualification or equivalent practical experience
- At least 3 years of experience supervising construction site activities
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand work sequences
- Good knowledge of construction methods, workmanship, and site safety practices
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with workers, subcontractors, and project teams
