Construction Supervisor

About This Role

This Construction Supervisor role involves taking ownership of water and wastewater construction projects, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring quality outcomes. It suits an experienced supervisor who can make practical decisions and effectively manage day-to-day site delivery.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day construction activities across water and wastewater projects
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant, equipment, and materials
• Plan upcoming works and ensure sites are set up to succeed
• Keep construction moving against programme without compromising safety or quality
• Review designs, spot potential issues, and work with the project team to find practical solutions
• Manage subcontractor performance and expectations onsite
• Stay across site risks, environmental requirements, and quality controls
• Set the tone onsite by leading safely, communicating clearly, and backing your crews

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience within the water and wastewater industry
• Strong construction experience with a track record of setting up and delivering works
• Confidence managing subcontractors and site-based crews
• Experience with construction programming, design reviews, and resolving site issues
• Sound understanding of safety, environmental, and quality requirements
• Frontline Management qualification or equivalent
• Relevant licences and qualifications required for the work
• Judgement to know when to make the call, when to ask the question, and how to keep a crew moving
