Construction Superintendent

About This Role

The Construction Superintendent oversees daily field operations on active construction projects, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, scheduling work activities, and ensuring construction progresses according to plans, specifications, and timelines. This role is responsible for monitoring site safety, conducting regular inspections, and enforcing compliance with safety standards and local codes.

Requirements

• Strong Construction Site Management skills, including supervision of crews, coordination of subcontractors, and oversight of daily field activities
• Knowledge of Construction Safety practices, including OSHA standards, hazard recognition, and implementation of site safety plans
• Solid Organization Skills, such as maintaining schedules, managing documentation, and tracking materials and inspections
• Budgeting and basic cost control skills, including assisting with estimates, monitoring expenses, and supporting change order management
• Project Management capabilities, including planning work phases, meeting milestones, and communicating progress with stakeholders
• Experience as a superintendent or foreperson in residential or commercial construction
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with basic construction software or project management tools
• Valid driver’s license

Nice to have:

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade or technical school preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
