About This Role
Leading diverse construction projects, particularly in roofing and siding, is the core of this full-time role. You will manage onsite activities, collaborate with skilled teams, and ensure high-quality work that embodies excellence and integrity. This position suits a superintendent who can leverage their expertise in a customer-centric environment, driving results that exceed client expectations and making a tangible impact in the community.
Responsibilities
- Ensure daily activities comply with project specifications and safety protocols
- Identify and resolve any issues promptly through quality assurance
- Enhance efficiency in managing schedules, budgets, and documentation using project management software
- Ensure all projects are completed on time and within scope
- Manage all aspects of roofing projects from planning and execution to completion
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee exterior construction (i.e., siding, roofing, etc.) on multi-family and other commercial building projects from initiation through completion
- Conduct project meetings with clients and subcontractors, developing a strong rapport with each group
- Supervise and oversee onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and promptly identify, resolve issues, and enforce safety protocols
- Coordinate the efforts of subcontractors and labor teams, ensuring efficient workflow and timely project completion
- Implement quality control processes to ensure all roofing work meets industry standards and client specifications
- Address any quality issues that arise during the roofing process and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, daily logs, and correspondence
- Prepare and present regular project update reports and status updates to stakeholders and upper management
- Ensure compliance with all regulations as well as company policies and procedures related to roofing work
- Promote a culture of safety among all team members and conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Six (6+) years of proven experience as a PM/SUPER in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction methods, processes, and regulations
- Proficiency in project management software and familiarity with construction scheduling and budgeting tools
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts
- Ability to analyze complex issues, make decisions under pressure, and implement effective solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and concise communication with diverse stakeholders
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in project planning, execution, and documentation
- In-depth knowledge of roofing systems
- Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
