About the role
We’re seeking a Senior Project Planner / Scheduler
To support a portfolio of complex, high-profile projects in the entertainment and theme park environment. This is a senior-level project controls role responsible for developing and managing integrated master schedules across projects involving creative development, design, engineering, construction, show/ride production, installation, and commissioning.
The ideal candidate is more than a schedule administrator — you are someone who can own complex project schedules, identify critical-path risks, analyze delays, develop recovery plans, and influence project teams, contractors, and vendors to keep major projects on track.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project and integrated master schedules using Primavera P6.
- Integrate schedules across creative, architecture, engineering, construction, ride/show production, vendors, contractors, and project teams.
- Establish project milestones, activity durations, sequencing, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule variances and potential impacts to project delivery.
- Develop workaround and recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule.
- Lead planning and scheduling meetings with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Perform resource loading, resource analysis, progress measurement, and earned-value tracking as required.
- Provide schedule analysis and project-controls insights to senior leadership.
- Develop conceptual schedules for proposed projects when detailed design information is not yet available.
- Use historical project information to develop realistic planning assumptions and workflow sequences.
- Provide guidance to other project schedulers and support scheduling across the broader project portfolio.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of engineering, construction planning, or project scheduling experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Primavera P6 experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Proven experience developing and managing complex integrated master schedules.
- Strong understanding of construction and design progress measurement.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, critical-path analysis, resource planning, and earned value.
- Ability to identify schedule risks and develop practical recovery strategies.
- Excellent communication, meeting leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to influence teams and drive alignment without direct authority.
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of theme park planning or project coordination experience.
- Experience with show/ride design, production, installation, or commissioning.
- Experience supporting large-scale entertainment, construction, infrastructure, hospitality, or similarly complex capital projects.
- Prior project-controls leadership or supervisory experience.
