Construction Project Manager

About This Role

This Construction Project Manager role involves overseeing projects from conception to close-out, ensuring they run on time and within budget. The position is based at client sites and focuses on providing leadership in scheduling, safety, quality, and coordination with designers, while managing the change order and cost review processes and approving contractor payment applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage various projects using established controls and procedures
• Provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, and coordination with designers
• Address critical issues pertinent to the project or the client's facility
• Have full working knowledge of the change order and cost review process
• Review and approve contractor’s payment applications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of construction with projected valued above 5 million dollars
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, team building, and client relationship building
• Ability to manage 4-5 projects using established controls and procedures
• Ability to provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with the designers and any critical issues pertinent to the project

Nice to have:

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
• Related education, in the form of college credit or degree, or professional certification may be accepted as partial fulfillment of experience years at the director’s discretion
