Construction Coordinator - Data Center Construction

About This Role

This construction coordinator role involves supporting data center construction projects, handling administrative tasks, and assisting with site operations. The position requires a proactive and efficient individual who can interact professionally with various staff levels in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize punch lists, inventory, and work production plans for easy retrieval and documenting
• Process invoices and billing under the supervision of a project manager and/or project accountant
• Train new project admins/clerks
• Perform basic inventory control under the direction of project management staff
• Assist with record retention and document controls
• Perform basic field quality and safety inspections
• Document conformance to plans and specifications
• Recommend potential solutions
• Promote Mortenson’s safety culture
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience on a construction job site preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills
• Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management to support any aspect of a construction project
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
• Ability to effectively handle detailed information and meet deadlines
• Ability to multitask
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Ability to travel up to 100%
• Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.)

Nice to have:

• 2-year degree in construction (for Construction Coordinator II)
